A new milestone for complexe Desjardins!

Montreal centre-ville

For the past few years, downtown Montreal’s emblematic shopping centre has been undergoing major transformations. Workers, customers, and tourists are invited to check out some of the recently completed projects next time they’re in the area.

The integration of giant screens on one of the building’s facades and the inauguration of a new entrance further connecting complexe Desjardins with Quartier des spectacles are just some of the recent additions. And the iconic building continues to innovate every day, committed to enriching the customer experience of every single person who walks through its doors.

A new culinary offering

First off, the food court has undergone a true metamorphosis. Baptized Le Rendez-vous, the new space was designed by architecture firm Régis Côté et Associés. The space was revamped in order to offer patrons a more modern, luminous, and attractive experience. Starting early December, customers will be able to discover the featured restaurateurs.

To round off its culinary offering, complexe Desjardins will soon be welcoming a new restaurant concept, located on the corner of Jeanne-Mance and Sainte-Catherine. This new concept is sure to please and delight everyone who passes through the commercial/business centre!

Also, in keeping with its commitment to go green, complexe Desjardins has developed an innovative sorting centre, where trash, compost, and recyclables are rigorously categorized.

A continuous digital platform

A 2020 pilot project, the Complexe Desjardins en ligne platform is back again this year… and here to stay! The centre’s retailers will once again be able to sell their products on the website—a first for Canadian shopping centres! Various modes of delivery and pick-up will be available to customers in order to facilitate their shopping experience. A Christmas pop-up shop will also be open to the public during the holiday season.

Christmas, in all its glory!

Because the current situation allows it, complexe Desjardins will be celebrating Christmas in style this year! Inside and out, visitors and passersby will be able to take in all the wonderful holiday magic. And much to the delight of all, the real Santa Claus will be back, as well as the Fontaine Boréale show, and the festive train for little ones!

A partner of Grand marché de Noël de Montréal once again this year, complexe Desjardins will be opening its Marché de Lëon, which showcases original offers from the centre’s retailers.

Ready for the return of office workers

The current health crisis has kept many workers away from the downtown core these past few months. However, with the goal of offering said workers a warm welcome back, complexe Desjardins has implemented an immersive spaces project. Selected by the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal as part of their Working Downtown call for projects, the new venture is set to launch in February 2022.

Baptized Les Espaces temps, these new installations will combine productivity and relaxation, and will be born of a collaboration between SGM and MASSIVart, putting Quebec artistic talent front and centre.

These recent initiatives don’t conclude complexe Desjardins’ transformation—far from it! Other projects are currently in the works, so stay tuned!
