First Things First

To start the day off right, visit one of Montreal’s famous European-inspired cafés. For a warm atmosphere and a broad selection, head over to Brûlerie Faro. For Espresso Italiano lovers, try Caffettiera, a coffee bar where the espresso is roasted in Italy and infused with piston machines. If you’re more of a tea person, head to Leaves House for a delicious matcha.

Already awake and want to enjoy your coffee surrounded by colourful trees and greenery? Head over to Café Myriade, then sip as you take a stroll around Dorchester Square and admire its cinematic Sun Life building.

Take a Breather

All that brainstorming made you hungry? For a quick bite, we propose 3 spots with 3 completely different vibes.

The cozy Persian café Aunja, located a few steps from the Museum of Fine Arts, offers incredible little dishes, smoothies and desserts for a quick, hearty and flavourful meal that’s made with care.

If you’re looking for something new, head to Makan, a brand new, family-owned Lebanese eatery that recently landed downtown via Spain, where their crispy wraps have already made their mark. For a culinary experience worthy of the best Parisian cafés, Holt café is located inside the luxury Holt Renfrew boutique and the food is simply divine. While you’re at it, why not accompany your meal with a glass of champagne or one of their many signature cocktails?

Happy Hour

It’s happy hour time? Plan to meet your friends or new collaborators at Cloakroom Bar, an elegant and cozy bar with speakeasy vibes. Signature cocktails are developed by award-winning mixologists and tailored to each customer’s taste with the finest, made-to-order spirits. Another lovely and surprising option: the lounge at O coiffure & spa, a hair salon with a cute little bar, an impressive cocktail menu and a welcoming staff.

What’s for supper?

Want to eat to impress? Book a table at  Bar George, located in the chic and majestic Mount Stephen Hotel mansion, and enjoy British-style cuisine with a local twist. If the weather is cooperating and you’re in the mood for a secret terrasse, you could also head to Il Cortile, a hidden downtown gem offering a whole range of popular Italian specialties.

Last Call

One last drink before calling it a night? Head over to Bishop Street and stop by Grumpy’s Bar, a cozy, retro bar with live jazz, or the famous Hurley’s, a classic Irish pub often featuring live traditional bands. For those looking for something more grandiose, try your shot at the brand new Yoko Luna, the most exclusive supper clubs downtown.
